We hit it off right away.
I signed up for this service thinking I'd just see who was out there. The very first guy I smiled at turned out to be a great match and we hit it off right away. The attraction was immediate...
I met poeticmisfit in March of '08 when he IM'd me in the chat room. We chatted online for about a week and then progressed to phone calls. In April of '08 he sent me a plane ticket to Atlanta so we could meet in person. The attraction was immediate and we knew we were meant to be together. I moved to Atlanta in May of '08 to be with him, it was the best decision I ever made. He proposed to me in November of '08 and of course I said yes! We will be married May 16th in Biloxi, MS. He is all the proof I will ever need that magic exists...
I wasn't expecting much beyond finding a few people to chat with when I joined this site. I was 46, never married and had been completely dateless for almost 12 years. Happily ever after was only for fairy tales and self-deluded dreamers, not logical, pragmatic realists like me. Besides, I had always thought internet dating was the last refuge of the truly desperate!
I soon changed my opinion. I met so many truly wonderful folks here - many have become real friends.
Then one hot afternoon in July of 2006, I got an IM from Iaim2plzzz. As we talked, something about this chat felt different, yet deeply soothing and oddly familiar; like the first glimpse of home after a long and lonely journey.
We met in person soon after. I fell in love with him on our first date. We were married last May. I am no longer "w8tin4magic". He is all the proof I will ever need that magic exists...and fairytale endings are possible.

She is the most special person I have ever met...
I was not even a member and was not really sure of online dating, but I kept getting email offers from your company to try out BBW for free. Well, I saw some cute girls on your site and was bored so I figured if I set up a profile, at least I could browse. Well, this really cute girl sent me a few emails, but I could not look them up. So the next week, I was going to become a member just to talk to her. So I logged on one day to find out that I was a member. She had paid for a gift subscription for me just to get in touch with me. From our first date, I was mesmerized and we've been dating for a few months now and I feel like I've known her all of my life. We have talked of marriage, just not for a few months. She is the most special person I have ever met and every day in her presence, she makes me feel special to be alive.
