We've fallen in love in the most beautiful way...

I had been on your site for a few short months and had some success, until I met THE ONE.

After about a month of late night conversations and unbelievable chemistry, we finally met in person. He flew from New Jersey to Ontario to spend a few days with me. We both knew we had found someone special in each other. We've fallen in love in the most beautiful way... and are working on bridging the long distance gap between us.

I wanted to express my gratitude to this site for bringing us together... a million thank yous for helping us find happiness!

I do not foresee a future without him.

Daniel and I (shewulfwyn) met in the chat room on Sept. 29, 2007. I checked out his profile because of his nickname (bamabowhunter) since I was raised in AL. He was very cute! We exchanged a few words in chat, but he had to go to do his studying and that was incredibly appealing to me. He had priorities! I guess when he left, he sent me an email saying that he noticed that I was noticing him. I emailed back immediately and we met on IM for a quick talk. He had to go, but promised he would be back at 9:30 PM. I waited and waited and thought he had stood me up when he appeared one hour later. I did not consider the time difference! We chatted forever. He was funny and sweet. We quickly progressed to the phone and spent nights on the phone talking to each other, getting little sleep. He called me on his lunch break that week for a couple of days. I knew I needed to do something. I could not go on neglecting my house, getting no sleep without knowing if we might be compatible in "real life." On Tuesday, on our lunchtime call, I impulsively blurted that he should meet me halfway that weekend. He hesitated for only a short time and said "OK!" We planned to meet that weekend at a halfway point in GA. I could barely contain myself the rest of the week and I think Daniel felt the same. We wondered if we were doing the right thing. I had met a few people from online, but only after long periods of chat and getting to know each other during sessions. He had met others as well. None of those had ever been really successful. We felt that this time it was better to meet sooner than later and not waste our time. At the worst, we would have made a new friend. We did not really tell anyone what we were doing... I did tell my Mom at the last minute JUST IN CASE. We both left on Friday, me in the early afternoon and Daniel late that night. I got to the hotel to make sure we had 2 rooms and make myself look (feel) beautiful. We talked several times on the phone while he traveled. I was having panic attacks wondering when he would arrive. He arrived in the wee hours of Saturday morning on October 6th and when I opened the door, he swept me into his arms and hugged me for what seemed like forever. We sat down face to face and talked. I blushed as he looked at me intensely. We went on for hours, as it seemed we had always known each other. There were a few times he got up to let me get some rest and go to his room next door, but never made it. We stayed together that night and when he kissed me I felt the Earth move. We spent the weekend in each other's arms and come Sunday had a hard time letting go. He told me to just say yes and he would follow me home! But I cared for him and knew he had home, family, job and school back in AL. He could not just up and follow me home. We talked on the phone many times on our ways home. Life got no easier when we got back to our respective homes. We continued to stay up all night talking and going to sleep listening to each other breathe on the phone. On Tuesday, October 9th, I messaged Daniel saying "If I had known I would miss you so much, I would have let you follow me home." He messaged back that he had "Mapquest" and enough money to get there, so if you want me there then let me know." I called him as soon as I could and asked if he was serious. What about school? His job and family? We knew we needed to try it, though. We just weren't functioning well long distance. By the end of the next week, Daniel had withdrawn from school, left his job, and moved his belongings out of the house he rented. His family thought he was crazy. So did mine. October 13th he arrived "home." November 10th, he proposed to me in front of an entire restaurant and my family. March 29th, our 6 month anniversary, we were married on the beach. I do not foresee a future without him and I know I am happier than I have ever been. We are committed to making it work, there is communication and compromise. Everything that was missing from my other relationships. Thank you for your part in this!

We wanted to be together.

Jay (gentlebear101) and I (chelseagirl) met in the chat room. We both have been on BBWPersonals off and on for about 3 years before meeting. He whispered to me, I whispered back and our relationship went over to email and then phone. We started talking several times a day and we met one another about 7 weeks after first meeting. I flew to Rhode Island for my birthday and what a spectacular birthday it was!! Jay set the whole 5 days up and we got to know one another and realized that our feelings that we thought were happening online and via the phone were truly real.

Through the months, we've had our ups and downs and separated several times. We would still converse with one another knowing we couldn't actually be out of one another's lives.

Flights back and forth from Indiana to Rhode Island, vacations to Nashville, TN and New York City made us realize that we wanted to be together.

Jay proposed in August of 2007 and I wish I could say I instantly said yes. I knew I loved this man, but was also fearful of being hurt. We dated, saw one another as often as we could, and I flew to see Jay during the Thanksgiving holiday. Jay and I were enjoying our time together and he asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I told him a ring would be nice. I had accepted his proposal. He immediately took me out to find my engagement ring and with the help of the jewelry store, they had it sized and ready for me to wear back to Indiana to show my family and friends.

One discussion after another on when and where the wedding would take place ballooned into us having our wedding in Orlando FL when we knew a lot of our friends from BBWPP would all be together. We were married on Saturday evening, March 29, 2008 and I'm packing my things, selling off other things and I'll be moved to Rhode Island by the end of April 2008.

We thank BBWPP for allowing us to meet, fall in love, and find the person that we will be spending the rest of our lives with. This site does work!
