My introduction

I'm a little bit shy, but open up more when the ice is broken. I love making people laugh, listening to their concerns, being a friend, and giving big hugs. I am both a lover and a fighter; I care deeply about my friends and family, and I can be a fierce surviver during times of strife. I have a passion for creative writing, which I try to do every day, but people often say that my humorous prose narratives based on real life are my best works. I read whenever I can, and will devour a book whole when I find a really captivating one. Music is another favorite past time; I love singing, playing guitar and mandolin, and writing my own song lyrics. Listening to music is also something I enjoy -- my favorite bands and musicians are the Beatles, Abney Park, Nat King Cole, Billie Holiday, Omnia, Faun, and pretty much anything in the Pagan/Celtic genre, easy listening, old jazz and swing, oldies, new age, and classical. I like to dress for comfort rather than style, but I try to look and feel my best by wearing styles that flatter me. People say I look good in green, which is also my favorite color, next to purple. I'm a mixed race; my father is white while my mother is black. I love them both and consider family important as do they. I believe they raised me right. I am a spiritual person, but not religious. Still, I pray to my revered deities, as often as possible, to protect and guard my friends and family from anything unhappy that may cross their path(s). I believe in equality and fairness. And spiritual and emotional balance. I am a very open-minded person when it comes to embracing different faiths and tastes. I am quite liberal in my own right, but I try to stay away from arguing politics because I know this causes stress and dis-ease within a group. I am loyal and steadfast, brave and determined, and I try my best to make people smile. Peace to all.
