Moved to the south Florida area three years ago due to a new assignment. Raised in New York and Nebraska and spent the last 12 years residing in the Middle East and Latin America
Divorced single dad raising a four-year old boy.
Ivy-League educated political scientist/economist. Currently employed for a government agency as a senior demographer and principal consultant. Recently completed a doctorate degree in international relations... previous education consist of two honors MAs, one in political science and the other in Middle-Eastern studies, an M Phil in Political Anthropology and an undergraduate degree in development and politics. Spent two years abroad as a fellowship student at Oxford University, and the American University in Cairo. Speaks Haitian Creole, French, Kiswahili and Zulu, Bantu and Arabic.
My general interests are Middle-Eastern and African studies, Islamic history, African-American studies, Philosophy (Absurdism, Greco-Roman, Modern Western, Chinese, Persian and African), existentialist fiction, Hip Hop culture, French pop culture, Ps3 games, power-lifting, target shooting, etc My weekly reading list consist of the New Yorker, Foreign Affairs, National Review and other political and social magazines and journals.
